A Ram Lalla murti recreating the consecrated deity of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, designed for home altars, sacred shelves, and contemplative domestic spaces. At 13.3 inches in height, it is sized as a principal devotional figure — substantial enough to anchor a dedicated altar, yet still in domestic scale.
Form & Posture
This murti presents Ram Lalla — the child form of Shri Ram — in a standing posture of composed grace. The figure is rendered with careful attention to proportion, jewellery, and facial expression, reproducing the classical sculptural language of the deity as consecrated at the Ayodhya temple. A sense of stillness and authority runs through the piece, even at 13.3 inches in height.
The Sacred Arch
Surrounding the central figure is an elaborately sculpted arch carrying layers of sacred iconography. At the apex sits Surya Dev, linking Ram Lalla to the Suryavanshi solar lineage. The arch panels trace the Dasavatara of Vishnu — Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Vamana, Narasimha, Parashurama, Rama, Krishna, Buddha, and Kalki — celebrating the full span of divine incarnation. Sacred symbols including Chakra, Shankha, Gada, Padma, AUM, and Swastik are distributed throughout, while Hanuman and Garuda stand at the base as eternal protectors. The Navagraha appear in acknowledgment of the cosmic order within which this form exists. Read together, the arch is not decoration but a compressed cosmological text — the deity placed within the full architecture of the Vaishnava tradition rather than presented in isolation.
In the Home
This Ram Lalla murti is designed as a centrepiece rather than a background piece. It carries enough visual weight and symbolic density to anchor a dedicated altar or prayer space, while remaining refined enough for a living room shelf or study. For those interested in the architectural setting of this deity, the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Model presents the temple itself in miniature — a natural companion for those drawn to the full context of the consecration. The piece pairs naturally with a brass diya, a small bowl of tulsi leaves, or a fresh garland during Rama Navami and Diwali, when households across the Ramayana tradition mark the deity’s birth and his return to Ayodhya after exile.
About Ram Lalla
Ram Lalla — “the child Ram” — is the primary deity consecrated at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Shri Ram (also venerated as Raghunath and Maryada Purushottam, the ideal man) according to Hindu tradition. The murti at the temple was sculpted by artist Arun Yogiraj and consecrated in January 2024. This form is rooted in the Vaishnava tradition and carries deep resonance for devotees of the Ramayana lineage worldwide. The child aspect — distinct from the standing adult forms more commonly seen in temple iconography — emphasises the deity in his most approachable register: present in the household as son and ward, before the long arc of the epic begins. He is honoured particularly during Rama Navami (the celebration of his birth), Diwali (his return to Ayodhya), and Dussehra (his victory over Ravana), each of which marks a different chapter of his presence in the tradition.
